Are you planning your wedding in Tuscany?
RUSTIC WEDDING IN TUSCANY
I’d love to recommend two beautiful wedding venues where I’ve had the pleasure of working as a photographer. What did I love most about these places? They’re nestled completely within the stunning Tuscan landscape, offer warm hospitality from the owners, and have incredible food. These venues are perfect if you’re looking for a rustic wedding surrounded by nature or an intimate celebration with just a few guests.
RUSTIC WEDDING IN TUSCANY
Montestigliano, Siena
The village of Montestigliano dates back to 1783. It’s perched on a hill covered with olive trees and cypresses. To reach it, just follow a small dirt road leading to the top of the hill, where the ancient villas of the village start to appear. Montestigliano also boasts a charming little chapel right next to the olive grove, just steps from the restaurant. Giulia, a fantastic wedding planner, will handle the setup and the floral arrangements. The cuisine is classic Tuscan, with excellent meats and cured meats, but above all, rich red wine. The villas, dating from the mid-19th century, are perfectly preserved, with spacious rooms and large fireplaces that warm the space and create a welcoming atmosphere. This agriturismo is just a 20-minute drive from Siena.

Fattoria Il Santo, Siena
A farmhouse immersed in greenery. The location is not visible from the main road; you’ll need to follow a narrow paved road to reach it. Serena will welcome you with open arms, and you’ll feel right at home. Surrounding the farmhouse are cow pastures and even a stable, not to mention hectares upon hectares of olive groves. The village also features a small chapel, perfect for intimate ceremonies. If you’re planning a rustic wedding with a grand imperial table, this venue is ideal. There’s plenty of space in the courtyard to accommodate everything. This venue is a 30-minute drive from Siena.
RUSTIC WEDDING IN TUSCANY
I love working in Tuscany. The weather is mild and pleasant, the food is fantastic, and the people are genuinely welcoming. It’s impossible not to feel at home. If you’re planning a summer wedding and intend to stay a few days, Fattoria Il Santo has a fantastic pool, perfect for cooling off on hot days. But Montestigliano is also lovely, as there’s always a refreshing breeze up there.
