Laugavegur Trail, Iceland
The Laugavegur Trail is a 55 km (34-mile) hiking route in southern Iceland, stretching from Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk. Known for its stunningly diverse landscapes, the trail takes you through colorful rhyolite mountains, black sand deserts, lush valleys, and glacial rivers. It typically takes 3 to 5 days to complete, with mountain huts or campsites available along the route. Hikers should be prepared for river crossings and unpredictable weather, including snow even in summer. The best time to hike is from late June to early September. (source The Trek)
